The Honda Corporation is named after
its founder Soichiro
Honda. He founded the Honda Motor Company
in 1948. Honda finally
entered in the US in 1959. Later in the 60’s
and 70’s Honda began producing its first Honda
cars and trucks in the US. Today Honda remains one of the leading
names in automobile industry.
Building machines to make machines also provides Honda with
a rapid response time. In a competitive market, the ability
to respond quickly to consumer car and truck manufacturing
needs has given Honda an invaluable marketing
edge.
Honda makes cars and trucks that are not only reliable
but also durable. My husband had a 1982 Honda Accord once
that he drove well past 200,000 miles. He used that vehicle
to off road, to haul equipment and construction materials.
He even had modified it himself to have a “moon roof”.
This is the car he took me out on my first date in and
I knew right then and there this guy cared little about
some material things, as long as they fulfilled their function,
which this little trooper of a Honda car did. When he finally
sold it for $50 it was used as a camper until the purchaser
could find a home.
Honda has a reputation for cars and trucks that just keep
on going. They are workhorse vehicles that have one purpose
in life; to keep running no matter where or through what
they are running to.
